Post-consumer used beverage cans carry up to 3% surface paints, internal epoxy coatings, and moisture. Direct melting without decoating creates catastrophic oxidation and metal loss exceeding 15%. This turnkey solution shreds UBCs, removes ferrous tramps, and processes them through an indirect rotary kiln under tight low-oxygen conditions (480-530°C). Decomposed organic gases are routed to a thermal oxidizer (>850°C) and recycled as heating energy, reducing melt oxidation loss to below 0.5%.
